Saks’ personalized video advertising program with SundaySky consists of 15- and 30-second SmartVideo pre-roll ads, featuring highly relevant information, such as previously viewed items, product categories, brand messages and seasonal promotions, that correlate to the viewer’s historical browsing data. Within 30 days of the shopper’s last visit to Saks’ website, SundaySky finds the individual on a publisher site through a programmatic ad network, and serves him or her a Saks video ad filled with relevant information according to their behavior. The goal of the program was to maintain a $25 ROAS with more than $10 million in attributed revenue, measured by the brand’s advanced attribution system of record MarketShare.

Our Customer Advocacy team have just finalized another customer video with Spanish Partner OmniAccess. The video will be translated in Italian and Spanish. The content is that Omnicasse is using Umbrella to secure connectivity for private yachts and cruise ships in the Mediterranean and beyond. OmniAccess utilizes many capabilities within Umbrella, including the roaming client, the reporting API and Investigate. This is a great one for EMEA and we are looking into getting this translated for Spain.

In addition to e-books, on-demand video and GPS devices, one of the future technological innovations envisioned by AT&T in its famous early 1990s series of “You Will” commercials was an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system that enabled drivers to wirelessly pay their tolls as they drove through a toll booth. While that prediction was perhaps not as bold as the others (Europe began developing similar ETC systems in the 1980s), today we take for granted E-ZPass in the U.S. and similar systems where drivers can enter toll roads, HOV lanes, bridges and tunnels without having to stop at a tollbooth to pay. Typically, these systems require a driver to put an OBU (On Board Unit, which can be called transponder or “edge” IoT device) in their vehicle and, when their vehicle passes through a toll booth, the toll booth wirelessly connects to the edge to automatically deduct the toll from their bank account.
