Geographical entry points are dwindling, and stores are closing faster than they are opening. The ability to make new markets with product innovation has been largely co-opted by new brands with specific, differentiated attributes. And, like every other business, CPGs are dealing with the demands of digitally adept consumers whose best customer experiences have become what they expect from every customer experience.

While historically consumer packaged goods (CPG) organizations have made significant investments in data collection and integration, much of the data stored in their IT infrastructures has not been analyzed or deployed to further the firms' business performance.  Those enterprises that learn to effectively harness the vast quantities of information generated by their IT systems - both within and outside the corporation - will enjoy a substantial competitive advantage.

In HR, working purely on instinct is dangerous. HR Professionals are highly skilled, and their experienced opinion is extremely valuable when it comes to selecting candidates, assessing performance, and all the other important aspects of this function. But can you rely on their instinct alone? This was the big question that our client, a large CPG company was facing. When we realized this was the problem, the solution was obvious. Not necessarily easy, but obvious. There was plenty of data, but it wasn't being used to improve HR decision making. We designed an analytics solution that would improve HR Decision making. We designed an analytics solution that would improve the efficiency of data gathering, to make the HR function more effective. We then proposed an additional layer, which would use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve HR Decision-making further.

“Today’s shoppers expect more than a transactional relationship with retailers; they want a seamless and personalized journey that reflects the context of how they shop across devices and channels. The key to success lies in connecting in-store software with online systems so retailers can provide an uninterrupted experience wherever customers shop.” - Ross Mason, Founder of MuleSoft Driving digital transformation in retail requires connectivity across an ever-increasing number of applications, data and devices. Because of this, connectivity has emerged as a bottleneck that slows the development of new applications and the adoption of new technologies to meet customer demands. In response, leading retail and CPG companies have adopted API-led connectivity, which eliminates this connectivity bottleneck and enables a 2-5x faster IT project delivery across the value chain.
